Our client, based in Lancashire is currently looking for an Environmental Protection Officer available immediately to cover a vacancy within the team on a temporary basis for approximately 6 months Initially).

You will be undertaking and assisting with Environmental Protection and nuisance related investigations and carrying out enforcement if necessary.

Duties will include investigation and response to complaints in relation to allegations of statutory nuisance, assessing and approving s.61 applications, permitting and responding to licensing consultations.

You must have working knowledge and understanding of the nuisance provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, knowledge of Licensing legislation and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Whilst some work can be undertaken remotely, this is a front line role which will require you to be on the district but there is remote working available 2/3 days per week
