AL782: Field Service Engineer

Location: Devizes

Salary: Up to £16 per hour

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To work on installation, planned preventative maintenance and repairs on wide range of plant and machinery.
To respond to emergency maintenance and reactive maintenance as requested.
To prioritise work requests and carry them out efficiently.
To operate Emergency Cover as required (1 week in 4 during Harvest Season).
Able to read mechanical drawings and translate to the work being undertaken.
Able to work alone and/or as part of a small team.
To take ownership and responsibility for tasks presented, and work in a manner that helps to ensure the success of the business.
Keep up to date with administration requirements as required (Job Record Sheets, Dynamic Risk Assessments, timesheets, vehicle checklists, machinery checklists, etc).
Communicate with the Supervisor, Manager, Project Engineer, Customer as required to provide regular updates on progress and issues.
Assist with other duties as requested.
Assist with overtime if required, as requested.
Skills and Qualifications:

Experience of servicing and installation of mechanical plant and machinery.
Analytical problem solver.
Communication skills and customer facing experience.
Timekeeping, housekeeping and administration.
Full UK Driving Licence.
