Our client is a market-leading, family-run company in a niche sector who have been established for over 60 years. They have a new role for a Design Engineer to join their in-house team, where you will be supporting the design of various products from conception to manufacture. The Design Engineer must have experience working in a similar role and will report to the Senior New Products Engineer.
 
Duties for the Design Engineer will include:

Generate parts using SolidWorks
Producing part lists and bills of materials,
Procuring of raw materials for testing on a competitive price basis
Prototyping and testing of new products
Prepare new Operation and Maintenance Manuals
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and managers where required
Ensure all products are designed in compliance with mandatory requirements Requirements for the Design Engineer role:

Experience working in a similar role
Must have experience using SolidWorks and knowledge of AutoCAD
Have an understanding of engineering principles
Have a keen interest in mechanical product design
Excellent communication skills to liaise with others at all levels Hours:  Monday- Friday 8:30 am -5:00 pm  
Salary:  £23,600 -£28,750 DOE  Per Annum
