Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sunderland
Pay Rate: £87 - £108 per day (Dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: 3 days a week

GSL Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students with SEN, helping them to thrive in the classroom. You’ll assist teachers, offer one-on-one support, and help students develop key academic and life skills.

Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistant:

Support students with personalised learning plans.
Provide one-to-one and small group support.
Track and monitor student progress.
Work closely with teachers, staff, and parents.
Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Encourage students to stay engaged and motivated.
Maintain accurate records of student progress.
A candidate for the SEN Teaching Assistant role should have:

A degree (any subject).
Experience supporting students, preferably in an SEN setting.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a real commitment to supporting students.
