Electrical Engineering Manager

Our client requires a Electrical Engineering Manager or Electrical Safety Manager to perform a compliance and safety role, reporting to the SHEQ Director.

You will oversee the safety of our operatives and make sure the business is legal, with policies and procedures to back it up.

You will:

Ensuring all staff are determined as operationally competent for their assigned duties in writing
Maintaining and developing all electrical external accreditations
Maintain written policies and procedures
Manage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to Competency
Represent us at national forums including:
*Energy Network Association (ENA)
*Lloyds Register - NERS Forum & NERSAP
*National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP)
*Association of Meter Operators (AMO)
*Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA)

You will have:

Educated to HNC or equivalent, Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferred
Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET)
NICEIC - National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting
Hold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH
Have a strong operational background preferably in association with DNO's or similar organisations
Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671
Have a clear focus on operational safety
Full UK Driving License
There is a requirement to travel throughout the UK and spend some nights away from home.

This is a hybrid role, with 2 day per week required in the office
