Glass Estimator – Internal Fit-Out

Are you ready to join a thriving, industry-leading company that shapes the future of commercial construction? Our client is a premier manufacturer of bespoke architectural glass, is on the lookout for a skilled Glass Estimator to join their dedicated team.
With a strong reputation in the commercial construction world, they deliver high-end, bespoke glass solutions to main contractors, top-tier fit-out companies, and joinery firms. From single panels to large-scale installations, they excel in both supply-only and supply & install projects.
As a Glass Estimator, you’ll play an integral role in shaping the success of multiple projects. You’ll be responsible for managing between 5-15 tenders at any given time, working on projects ranging from £1,000 to £1,000,000 in value, with deadlines that vary from 3 days to 3 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Estimating & Tendering: Prepare detailed and accurate quotes based on glass specifications, hardware, and installation requirements.
* Client Liaison: Work closely with contractors, merchants, suppliers, and end-users to clarify project details and ensure complete, accurate estimates.
* Technical Expertise: Conduct take-offs from architectural and technical drawings, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered.
* Excel Mastery: Use advanced Excel skills to create professional, comprehensive estimates that are clear and precise.
* Attention to Detail: Ensure that no element is overlooked – from aesthetic requirements to complex build-ups and installation techniques.
The Ideal Estimator will have;
* Experience: At least 18 months of experience estimating large-scale projects within the internal fit-out sector, ideally in architectural glass, kitchens, bathrooms, or similar fields.
* Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of take-offs from architectural and technical drawings and the ability to manage contracts.
* Excel Proficiency: Comfortable with complex Excel spreadsheets to produce high-quality, detailed quotes.
* Communication Skills: Capable of picking up the phone to resolve queries with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Organised & Detail-Oriented: You thrive on accuracy, ensuring every quote is meticulously put together.
