The Role
Do you want to help make a real difference in the lives of individuals preparing for release from prison? As a Business Administrator (ID & Banking), you’ll play a crucial role in reducing reoffending by supporting prisoners with essential documentation and opportunities as they transition from custody to community.
This impactful role places you at the heart of the Employment Hub, working closely with prisoners and external partners to deliver the Prisoner Banking Programme and ID Programme, enabling individuals to secure bank accounts and identification essential for employment and reintegration.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting Prisoner Development: Help prisoners prepare for Release on Temporary Licence (RoTL) work placements and employment post-release by facilitating access to bank accounts and identification.
* Assessing Needs and Providing Guidance: Meet with prisoners, assess their requirements for ID and banking, and guide them through the application process, acting as the single point of contact for programme partners.
* Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate records using approved templates, collect and report management information, and handle financial records related to the programmes.
* Enhancing Opportunities: Collaborate with the Prison Employment Lead to match prisoners with job vacancies and promote opportunities through activities like job clubs, exit interviews, housing clinics, and induction assessments.
* Efficient Communication: Serve as the central contact for the Employment Hub, prioritising and distributing communications, and supporting awareness sessions.
* Data and Reporting: Maintain establishment databases and provide timely reports to management, ensuring compliance with procedures and contributing to continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with:
* Minimum level 2 Business Administration qualification, or equivalent
* Minimum level 2 English and Maths
* Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
* Outstanding communication abilities to engage with prisoners, colleagues, and external partners confidently and respectfully.
* Resilience and adaptability to thrive in high-pressure settings and meet deadlines efficiently.
Interviews will take place w/c 6th January.
