Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk (Hybrid Working Available)
Pay: £38K - £45K pa, plus an Excellent Benefits Package

Are you a skilled Design Engineer looking to work with a well-established engineering company that is experiencing strong year-on-year growth?

SimWest is excited to support one of our long-standing clients in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative technologies, serving a global customer base, with a company renowned for its forward-thinking approach.

With their ongoing success, they are expanding their design team to continue driving the development of industry-leading products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings

* Design components and equipment for manufacturing and assembly.

* Produce layout models and schematics.

* Compile and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs).

* Provide technical support to sales teams by offering design information for proposals.

* Work with sheet metal design and ensure designs meet industry standards.

* Oversee design projects from conception through to completion.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience with 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks preferred).

* Experience designing equipment and machinery for the Manufacturing Industry.

* Solid understanding of mechanical design principles.

* A proven track record of managing design projects from start to finish.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to working.
