A Primary school based in Hackney are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from after Easter break, until the end of the academic year, on a full-time basis.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of a student in their Year 5 class that needs 1:1 support. The child you will be assisting has mild learning difficulties and challenging behaviours, so you will need to use your initiative to best support them in their education. Due to the needs of the child, it would be very desirable if you have worked in a similar position before.

The role as a Teaching Assistant:

Previous expeirence working with children with Special Educational Needs
Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
Working 1:1, identify and respond appropriately to challenging individual needs
Ongoing training and support
A playful and enthusiastic approach to working with children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds
