Location: Bedford

Salary: £27,600 + shift premium £3,288.96

Shifts: Rotating Shifts - 4 on, 4 off (6am to 6pm & 6pm to 6am)

Our Bedford-based client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Auditor to ensure the highest standards of product safety and quality across the business. Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct daily factory walks to ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards.

* Verify product manufacturing aligns with critical control points and the QMS.

* Perform internal audits, staff training, and document verification.

* Collaborate with the hygiene team on food-safe cleaning practices.

* Manage swabbing, chemical, microbiological, and nutritional testing.

* Conduct product testing, traceability, and investigate non-conformances.

* Oversee metal detection processes and maintain HACCP/CCP compliance.

* Ensure Certificates of Analysis are sent on time.

* Conduct site audits and report findings to senior management.

* Handle daily tasks like equipment calibration and sample collection.

* Assist with audits and compliance to BRC, ISO, and retailer standards.

* Cover for Quality Controllers and support raw material intake.

* Monitor external warehouses and assist in retail customer audits.

Requirements:

* Experience in food manufacturing.

* Level 2/3 HACCP and internal auditing certification.

* Knowledge of BRC, ISO, and retailer standards (preferred).

* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills.

* Attention to detail and computer literacy
