FT Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipping and receiving tasks are completed accurately and on time. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

* Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.

* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are correctly logged and accounted for.

* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling of materials.

* Perform materials handling tasks, including picking and packing orders for dispatch.

* Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring all items are stored appropriately.

* Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.

* Utilise AS400 software for inventory management and reporting purposes.

* Apply mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance when necessary.

* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Requirements

* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.

* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.

* Strong skills in shipping and receiving processes.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.

* Experience with picking and packing procedures is desirable.

* Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for equipment handling and maintenance tasks.

* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
