Title: Assembly Operative

Salary: Dependent on experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Location: Whetstone, Leicestershire

VH Talent is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a unique manufacturing facility based in Whetstone, Leicestershire to appoint an Assembly Operative.

*** No previous experience required as full training will be provided

The Assembly Operative Role:

* Report into the Production Manager and work within a small team to ensure production targets are achieved and customer satisfaction is exceeded

* Work from specifications to assemble products to the highest quality, using hand tools, soldering and gluing

* Quality check final product prior to packing in preparation for despatch

* Assist with goods-in and goods-out with loading, unloading and manual handling

* Support with stock control, general housekeeping and ensuring adhering to health and safety on-site

* Occasionally support with urgent deliveries, therefore a Driving Licence would be highly desirable

You’ll Need:

* Previous experience of operating within a manufacturing or engineering setting would be advantageous

* Experience of using hand tools, soldering and gluing would be beneficial however full training will be provided

* Able to follow instructions and has attention to detail

* Basic IT skills

* Able to support with overtime as the business requires

* Due to the nature of work, manual handling will be required at times

* Driving Licence would be advantageous as could then support with urgent deliveries, however not essential
