An opportunity has arisen for a Safer Travel Officer within the Planning & Transportation, Road Safety Team.

To help make Devon’s roads safer for everyone. We are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic person to help our road safety team deliver a wide range education, training, engineering, and behavioural change interventions.

The role would ideally suit somebody with previous experience in road traffic collision investigation and prevention. And knowledge or previous experience in developing and delivering a safe systems approach to road casualty reduction. But a positive attitude and willingness to form strong working relationships with internal colleagues and with external partners including with the Police and other Vision Zero South West road safety partners, will be essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have training and support available to them. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to gain further experience and develop new skills. A full driving license is required.
