Suffolk County Council is looking for a Parking Services Project Officer based in Ipswich. You will join us on a full-time, fixed term basis/secondment opportunity for 2 years, working 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of  £34,834 - £41,418 per annum (pro rata for part time).

Full time, part time and job share opportunities will be considered.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Parking Services Project Officer to join our team in Operations. You will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

About the role

Working alongside the Parking Services Manager, you will manage the delivery of specific parking projects identified in our published Parking Strategy alongside other new projects and initiatives that may develop. 

You will be responsible for identifying issues, solving problems, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time to meet the needs of our residents, businesses, and communities.

About you

You will: 

have experience in project management and implementation

be organised and have the ability to meet timescales and budgets

have experience of working with a wide range of partners, including businesses, members of the public and other key stakeholders

have good communication and negotiation skills

have the ability to work on your own initiative and act independently to deliver council outcomes

ideally have experience of working within local government and have knowledge or experience of working within the parking industry.
