Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Ardersier, Inverness
Contract Type: Contract / Permanent
Salary:
* Contract: £250-£300 per day
* Permanent: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Digs, Company Car and Fuel Card
Reporting To: Senior Health and Safety Manager
Key Objectives
As a Health and Safety Advisor, your primary goal is to promote, advise, train, and consult on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental issues within a construction environment. You will work closely with the Senior Health and Safety Manager to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and foster a safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications
* Level 3 NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (Essential)
* CSCS Card (Essential)
* Behavioural Safety Training (Desirable)
* Temporary Works Awareness (Desirable)
* Lifting Operations Training (Desirable)
Responsibilities
* Safety Compliance: Prevent injuries and damage to plant and equipment. Ensure compliance with legal and company health, safety, and welfare requirements
* Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ensure the correct provision and use of PPE across site operations
* Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory codes of practice, and method statements
* Health & Safety Documentation: Assist in preparing method statements, safety rules, and safety reports, and maintain accurate records and statistics
* Training & Inductions: Support in delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, task briefings, and method statement reviews
* Incident Investigation: Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences. Make recommendations to prevent recurrence and ensure accurate record-keeping
* Safety Protocols & Client Requirements: Help develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring they meet client requirements
* Legislative Updates: Stay informed on the latest safety legislation, codes of practice, and safety literature, and ensure all team members are updated
* Environmental Awareness: Ensure the site adheres to environmental policies and objectives, contributing to sustainable construction practices.
* Professional Interaction: Maintain communication with professional safety bodies and keep the team informed of industry best practices.
