PK Education is a specialist education recruitment agency dedicated to connecting exceptional educators with schools across the UK. We are currently seeking a passionate and resilient Secondary SEND Specialist to join a dynamic communication resource at a secondary school near Featherstone.

Role Overview:

As a Secondary SEND Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils across mixed key stages who have profound Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism spectrum disorders and Communication and Interaction difficulties. Your commitment and expertise will help foster an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

- Individualised Support: Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student (EHCPs).

- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to each pupil's development.

- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and report on student progress, adjusting strategies to maximise learning outcomes.

- Positive Environment: Cultivate a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.

Requirements:

- Experience: Proven experience working with children or young people with profound SEND, particularly Autism and communication difficulties.

- Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with complex needs.

- Resilience: The ability to remain patient and composed in challenging situations.

- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and parents.

- Commitment: A dedicated approach to ongoing professional development and a desire to secure a permanent position.
