Your primary responsibility will be to recommend price changes to improve loss ratio and sales volumes in accordance with our strategic goals. This will involve building and maintaining risk and demand models, improving our rating algorithm, and making trading changes to react to market conditions.You will be working closely with our underwriting, technology, and senior leadership teams to both communicate your recommendations and report on performance. Has strong prior experience within the personal lines pricing space, any experience within the pet insurance would be welcome but not a must have!
Can demonstrate a strong technical skillset in regards to GLM & GBM based modelling approaches.
Has experience at building rating structures to combine models and other inputs into a final price.
Can take the lead on defining what data is required for successful pricing, either as a development of internal sources or linking to third party data enrichment.
Is a real team player, somebody who is excited about the prospect of playing a key role in the growth of an exciting product and collaborating with a range of stakeholders across the business.
Can bring a commercial mindset to the role and not only lead on technical delivery but take responsibility for identifying and acting upon commercial drivers to help us grow our proposition and business. Technical Skill:
Fluent in R, SQL
Strong competency in Python and SAS
Experience in Risk and Street pricing
Experience utilizing and implementing ML Models into pricing including GBMs, Decision Tree
Developing ETL processing and database management
Experience in developing price rating and optimisation in Earnix and Radar
Development on BI solutions within PowerBI, Qlik and Sisense What We Offer:
