Position: Supply SEN Teacher (Day-to-Day Cover)
Hours: Flexible, based on availability (8:30-15:30)
Location: Derby
Pay: £140-£180 per day
Start Date: Immediately

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and flexible Supply SEN Teachers to provide day-to-day cover in various schools across Derby. This role is ideal for SEN specialists looking for additional work that fits around their availability. You will have the opportunity to work in a range of educational settings, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in different schools and to make a significant impact on the learning and development of pupils with additional needs, without the commitment of a permanent contract.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with SEN on a day-to-day supply basis, following the school’s curriculum and individual learning plans.
Adapt lessons to meet the unique needs of students with additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and behavioural difficulties.
Support pupils' academic and personal development, helping them to engage with their learning in a positive and structured environment.
Work closely with support staff and other teachers to ensure effective classroom management and a safe, supportive learning environment.
Implement individual education and behaviour plans, using appropriate strategies to support each pupil’s needs and goals.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in SEN teaching.
Experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and other complex needs.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to quickly adapt to different school environments.
A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) is required.
