This role supports the Council's Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), working closely with service area managers and senior directors to align property needs with core Council goals, including social, community, and financial value. You'll help shape strategies for the Council's property portfolio, ensuring best value, and lead on implementing policies that drive asset management efficiency.
You'll be working alongside the Commercial and Investment teams to maximize revenue from Council properties, manage property reviews, support disposals and acquisitions, and work towards the Council's net-zero goals. This position also involves liaising with external partners like Berkshire and public sector organizations to optimize space use for community services.
 
Key responsibilities include:
·Supporting the development and review of the SAMP and Corporate Landlord model.
·Leading valuation projects, appraisals, and reporting on major asset decisions.
·Managing a small team, ensuring collaboration and high performance.
·Overseeing staff recruitment and training, adhering to Council policies.
·Preparing reports and presenting findings to senior leadership and committees.
