This position is critical for delivering studentspersonalised assistance so they can thrive both academically and socially. Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Northumberland
Pay Rate: £100 - £120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task with their learning and behaviour. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and have the skills to maintain a productive and positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:

Supervise and manage a classroom of students, ensuring they remain focused on their work and adhere to the school’s behaviour policies.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources left by the absent teacher.
Support students with their learning and address any questions or issues that arise during the lesson.
Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and participation.
Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding the behaviour and progress of students during their absence.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, adhering to the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall educational experience of students.
Cover Supervisor Job Requirements:

Prior experience working in an educational setting, ideally in a supervisory or classroom setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
Patience, resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
