Job Title: Section Engineer - Structures (Highways)
Location: Gloucester
Rate: Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 12 months (potential extension)
Start Date: ASAP

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer - Structures to join a major highway project in Gloucester. This is a long-term opportunity to work on a key infrastructure development, with an initial 12-month contract and potential for extension.

You will play a critical role in overseeing structures works, ensuring that construction is carried out to the highest standards, in line with design specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the delivery of structural elements on the project, including bridges, retaining walls, and other highway structures.
Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth progress.
Implement and oversee quality control procedures and safety standards.
Assist in the planning, programming, and sequencing of works.
Liaise with designers, clients, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
Maintain accurate site records and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Section Engineer on major highway structures projects.
Strong technical background in bridge and structures construction.
Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. DMRB, Eurocodes, CDM Regulations).
Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
CSCS card and SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.This is an inside IR35 contract role, offering up to £450 per day. Immediate start available.
