Our client is a Main Contractor in the New Build and Refurbishment in the Social Housing sector. Due to expansion, they are seeking an Operations Director to oversee the Refurbishment Division of their business.
You will report directly to the Group Managing Director, and will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating various refurbishment projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
You will be the main point of contact for clients, will build /maintain relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee multiple refurbishment projects from inception to completion.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and supply chain.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope of works, and within budget.
Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risk.
Coordinate and manage site teams, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control.
Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.Requirements:
Proven operator at a senior level, ideally Operations Director / Managing Director / Business Unit Director for a maintenance and refurbishment Contractor.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Proficient in using project management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Offering a significant package, with the client identifying a basic salary of between £130,000 - £150,000 per annum plus package
