Position: Freight Forwarder - Sea Imports

Location: Southampton

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30-17:00 pm (37.5 hours per week - Hybrid 2 days from home)

Salary: £30,000 pa

We now have an opportunity for an experienced freight forwarding operator to join our dynamic team based in Southampton. We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess a strong background in dealing with deep sea import operations primarily. Experience with air freight, road freight or exports would also be an advantage.

Freight Forwarder - Sea Imports Key Role & Responsibilities:

Responsible for all forwarding tasks for both imports and exports, starting from the initial enquiry, and preparation of documentation right through to raising invoices.
Dealing with import & export entries using various CPC's including, Home Use & CFSP in line with HMRC and Bonded warehouse approval.
Liaise with, clients, shipping lines, 3rd parties and other forwarders alongside managing key relationships within the organisation
Arranging import shipments start to finish
Export docs
Customs Clearance CDS sea air and road freight
Invoicing upon final delivery
Shipment status reports
Investigating system discrepancies
Liaising with clients, shipping lines and agents
Key account management
