Senior Business Development lead - (Technology & Services)
Salary: £75,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid working, with modern Birmingham city centre offices

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development lead in the Technology & Services sectors. The main purpose of the role is to drive investment into the West Midlands across the Technology & Services.
This role is pivotal in developing and implementing a strategic business development plan to attract high-profile investments and create job opportunities in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of sector experts to ensure effective engagement with intermediaries, stakeholders, and potential investors.
Take direct ownership of high-value investment projects, particularly those involving multinational technology firms.
Mentor and empower the team to build and convert investment pipelines amongst SME's.
Oversee the region's key investment initiatives, aligning with strategic programmes such as office-led investment zones.
Build strong relationships with local authorities, institutions, universities, and industry bodies to enhance the region's attractiveness to investors.
Engage in account management of key businesses and support commercial revenue opportunities.
Ensure the effective use of CRM systems to track and optimise business development strategies.
Lead marketing and lead generation efforts at national and international levels.
Provide strategic advice to leadership and ensure collaboration with public and private sector partners to drive economic growth in the region.
Role Requirements:
Degree level education.
Relevant business development experience in the services and technical sectors.
Strong negotiating skills.
Excellent track record of relationship management at senior level.
Leadership skills and strategic thinking.
Knowledge of the technology and services sector.
Proven ability to execute business development strategies.
Deep understanding of the region's public sector functions and institutions.
