GI Group are looking for an experienced Stores Assistant to join one of our large clients based in Stockport.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Stores Assistant:
Maintain the company's material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.
Maintain inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant materials to maximize availability of working capital.
Ensure that goods inward / stock control department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support all business areas and the goals of the business
Ensure materials are ready and available when required.
Carryout annual stock takes and provide reports
Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control / management systems and ERP.
Goods in - To be responsible for the acceptance of all deliveries into Stores including checking deliveries, signing for deliveries and handling the delivery note for receipt.
Goods out - Responsible for issuing goods to internal/external businesses. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and updating the system.

Monday - Friday
07:00am - 15:00pm
£24000 - £24500

Requirements:
Own transport
FLT Counterbalance licence
Stores experience
Computer experience/knowledge
