Field Service Engineer
£37.5k + overtime
Alecto Recruitment is working with a global materials handling company on the lookout for a motivated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team in the South London area.
This role involves the maintenance, servicing, and repair of their equipment while ensuring excellent customer service and high-quality technical support. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive top-tier service and support, fostering lasting relationships, and delivering exceptional problem-solving expertise.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Service and Repairs: Perform all service, repair, warranty, and inspection tasks allocated daily, ensuring high-quality standards.
Customer Interaction: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, delivering a customer-focused approach to all interactions.
Technical Support: Respond to customer inquiries regarding technical aspects of products and services.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Investigate and resolve technical issues, including fault-finding and diagnostics of CANBUS and electrical systems.
Skill Development: Continuously improve technical knowledge of products, services, and industry standards.
Compliance: Adhere to company and legal standards, including health and safety practices, code of conduct, and other regulatory guidelinesWhat You'll Need to Succeed
Technical Expertise: Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering with a strong background in heavy plant equipment and hydraulic systems.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, effective customer and team interactions.
Quality-Oriented: A strong attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
Self-Motivation: Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team with enthusiasm and a drive to meet targets.
Qualifications: Relevant mechanical/electrical engineering qualifications.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical wiring diagrams and diagnosing faults in CANBUS systems.
IT & Analytical Skills: Good IT literacy, numeracy, and analytical abilities to support diagnostic work and reporting.Benefits
