Doncaster Council is expanding its residential care services and is looking for dedicated Residential Child Care Officers to join our Good and Outstanding-rated children's homes. With supportive management, regular supervision, and extensive training, our team is committed to providing nurturing and therapeutic environments for children in need.

Our Residential and Inspiring Futures Teams Service supports children in care, providing safe, nurturing residential environments for their growth and healing. Our homes are strategically located across Doncaster, with excellent transport links, and include facilities rated as "Outstanding" and "Good" by Ofsted. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact young lives. Working alongside our Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Residential Care Officers, you'll contribute to a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for looked-after children. This role is challenging yet rewarding, ideal for individuals with experience or transferrable skills in working with young people, especially those with complex behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and consistent care, meeting the emotional, social, and physical needs of children
Work in alignment with the home's ethos and Statement of Purpose
Complete required training, including QCF Level 3 (within two years of start date) and our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention program (TCI)Rota Schedule:
Shifts include mornings (7am-3pm), afternoons (2pm-10pm), and sleep-ins (2pm-11pm, then 7am-2pm)
