Reporting directly to the Engineering and Operations Director, you will oversee the management and upkeep of our clients quality, health & safety, and environmental systems. Your role will ensure compliance across all operations, with a focus on monitoring, reporting, and driving performance improvements as their newly appointed QHSE Engineer. A primary goal is for the QHSE Engineer to develop and secure accreditation for our ISO 14001 environmental management system, followed by the implementation of an ISO 45001 health and safety system.

What are the Key Objectives for the QHSE Engineer?

Manage and maintain the company’s quality, health & safety, and environmental systems.

Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of machinery, tools, ladders, and lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with PUWR.

Conduct ongoing monitoring and auditing of compliance with procedures and quality output, facilitating training and development for colleagues as needed.

Lead quality investigations and perform supplier audits, working closely with suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance with company and customer quality requirements.

Assist in expanding Lean Manufacturing practices, particularly 5S, throughout the factory.

Prepare and maintain risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).

What do you need to demonstrate in order to be considered for the QHSE Engineer role?

2-3 years experience as a minimum as a Quality Engineer or QHSE Engineer in a manufacturing environment 

Solid understanding of COSH and other HSE principles in a manufacturing environment 

Worked with/to ISO14001 and/or ISO45001 standards
