About the Client:
Our client is a leading provider of highway services in Sussex, specialising in the maintenance and management of road networks. Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Highways Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the financial aspects of various highway projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and meet the highest standards. Projects include term maintenance, capital works, reactive maintenance, and junction improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets to meet financial objectives.
Estimating and Tendering: Develop detailed cost estimates for new projects and participate in the tendering process.
Contract Administration: Manage contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Financial Reporting: Produce regular financial reports and forecasts, providing accurate information to project managers and senior management.
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess costs, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks associated with projects, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their financial and contractual requirements are met.Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related desirable 
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the highways or civil engineering sector.
Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Previous NEC contractual experience.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, quantity surveying software).
Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
Certifications: Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable.Benefits:
