Location: Ashington or Durham

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: £51,318 per annum (inclusive of car allowance)

Bernicia is seeking a driven and dedicated Housing Services Manager to manage our income function.

Housing Services Manager (Income)

About the role:

This crucial role will see you lead the way in ensuring the effective management and recovery of rental income, which is essential for the sustainability of our housing operations.

Your ability to lead a high performing team that manages income recovery with empathy and understanding will be key in fostering positive relationships and addressing concerns.

You'll drive a culture that values and prioritises tenant satisfaction, ensuring that our tenants are at the heart of everything we do.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies to enhance our income collection processes and engage meaningfully with tenants and colleagues to support timely payments.

In addition to managing rental income, you will also be responsible for the service charges element for the business.

This involves working closely with our finance team to ensure that service charges are accurately calculated, communicated, and reviewed, aligning them with tenant expectations and regulatory standards.

* You should possess a robust mix of leadership skills, financial acumen, and a deep commitment to tenant engagement.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to effectively engage with tenants and foster an environment of trust.

* A strategic mindset, paired with problem-solving capabilities, will be crucial in developing innovative income recovery strategies.
