Company Overview:
Our client is a well-known blue chip manufacturing business supplying to top tier OEMs around the world. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Engineering department for a Product Engineer, it is reporting to the Product Engineering Team Leader. This role offers a chance to develop a comprehensive understanding of our Engineering processes and make a significant impact on our operations within the business.
Requirements for a Product Engineer:
* A minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Product Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of process optimisation techniques and lean manufacturing principles.
* The Process Engineer will hold a HNC or HND in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field.
* The Product Engineer will be Proficient in using CAE tools for CNC machining, CAD, and 3D modelling.
* Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, MS Project, MRP systems)
Key responsibilities for a Product Engineer:
* Efficiently utilising Lean manufacturing methodologies to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
* Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce costs through workflow optimisation and waste elimination.
* Preparing qualification reports, scrap and rework analysis reports.
* Ability to effectively utilise quality tools in practical applications.
* Utilising CAE, CAD tools for CNC machining and 3D modelling.
