Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate CQC Registered Manager to lead our dynamic team at our London office. The successful candidate will ensure that our services meet the required standards of care and compliance as set out by CQC, whilst maintaining a supporting a positive culture for both our service users and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the London office
Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and standards
Manage, mentor and support the office team
Oversee and be involved with the recruitment and selection of staff across the service.
Ensure effective management of the care team is taking place so staff feel supported in their day-today roles
Oversee the development and implementation of child/person-centered care plans tailored to meet individuals' needs through a robust assessment process considering their emotional, physical, medical and material needs
Ensure all care and support services being provided undergo a robust risk assessment to maintain the safety of the service users and staff
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided through the utilisation of governance systems, reviews and audits
Ensure that accurate documentation and records are always maintained
Ensure staff rotas are fair and promote continuity of services to service users
Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and external partners
Ensure consistency in the staff provided is maintained for the service users
To be fully aware of all the Organisations' policies and procedures and ensure that these are always adhered to.
Prepare monthly reports to the Director
Attend regular meetings with the wider team
To actively take part in the 'On-Call' service
To monitor and manage the performance against appropriate key performance indicators and budget targets and to ensure progress towards achieving relevant Organisational goals identified in operational and strategic plans.
To ensure that deadlines are met in relation to timesheets and payroll.
To monitor, record and authorise annual leave and monitor sickness absence of staff for whom there is line management responsibility.
To positively work in supporting the principles outlined in the Organisation's Equal Opportunities Policy.
To assist in maintaining a safe working environment by attending training and following the Organisations' Health and Safety Policy and working practices.
To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility for this job role.
To ensure that the service provided by the Organisation exceeds the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
To fully understand the Organisations' complaints procedure
Manage all accident and incidents that occur making referrals and notifications to local authorities and CQC where required and feeding back on lessons learned to the team
Essential Criteria:
NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or Equivalent
Proven experience working in a Domiciliary Care environment (Min THREE years)
Strong working knowledge and understanding of CQC's care and fundamental standards
Excellent leadership and management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

A solid awareness of:
The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (as amended).
The Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009.

Desired Criteria:
Experience of managing a dispersed staff team.
Be dynamic and flexible in your approach to work
Excellent computer skills (using MS Office programs, particularly Word and Outlook).
