Technical Operator
Pay: £15.08p/h
Hours: 38 hours per week.
Weekly rotating shifts, 6am - 2pm Mon - Fri / 2pm - 10pm Mon - Thurs and 2pm - 5.30pm Fri.

Stafflex are actively recruiting on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of household and health care products, for a Technical Operator to join their busy manufacturing team.
The role:
The job exists to provide the Process Unit with a fully trained and highly skilled team of Operators working in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health and Safety guidelines, to be fully accountable for all aspects of the role. The overall task is to ensure that product is filled safely and efficiently, following defined procedures in line with demand.
Responsibilities:
Following defined Standard Operating Procedures and Departmental Instructions, to produce finished products that meet all the necessary specifications.
To complete documentation in a neat, accurate and timely manner, as detailed in relevant procedures.
To provide backup resource for other areas within the company, governed by production demands.
To participate in production line/area/machine changeovers and ensure that they are completed safely, efficiently, and successfully using defined procedures.
To work alongside the Machine Technician, problem solving, troubleshooting, routine Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) and to ensure equipment operates in an increasingly efficient manner to maximise output.
To ensure compliance with GMP and Health and Safety guidelines.
You will ensure training and monitoring of new and existing Operators is completed following defined procedures to establish performance standards.
Operate the motorised runabout and reach trucks.
Carry out any other duties, which might reasonably be expected by the Group Leader, Senior Group Leader, or Process Unit Head
In the absence of the Group Leader, you will manage the line and take full responsibility and accountability for the line and team.
You will carry out line clearances and plan your work centre with your team to maintain control and availability of products and components.
You will ensure line performance is monitored and measured by using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and set Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
You will actively get involved in daily briefings with your team including short Cycle Control (SCC), setting daily targets, and reviewing past performance.
You will ensure that equipment calibration is completed in line with defined procedures and within the standard time.Experience or qualification required:
Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Math's and English.
Basic IT skills
Strong GMP (Good manufacturing practice) knowledge is very advantageous for this role.
Experience working in a controlled manufacturing environment is essential.
Previous pharmaceutical experience is advantageous for this job.Personal attributes:
