Buyer – Engineering Scale-Up – Bristol (3 Days Onsite) ?

The Role:

As a Buyer, you will play a key role in sourcing high-quality materials and components, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient procurement process.

? Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and reliability.
? Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
? Negotiate contracts and pricing to optimize supply chain costs.
? Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
? Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet material and component needs.
? Manage purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules for timely supply.
? Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
? Proactively address supply chain challenges to minimize disruptions.
? Support inventory management improvements and continuous procurement optimizations.

What We’re Looking For:

? Proven experience as a Buyer in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
? Strong negotiation skills with a strategic mindset.
? Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
? Solid understanding of supply chain dynamics and procurement processes.
? Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
? Strong communication skills – able to work cross-functionally.
? Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

* Relevant experience as a Buyer or a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.

* Experience with MS Dynamics and international logistics.
