Our client based in Culham are seeking a motivated individual who is eager to get their foot into the Procurement world or someone who is looking to expand their Procurement knowledge. You will be supporting the Procurement Specialist handling and managing all contracts and tendors in a timely manner. You will be interacting with new clients ensuring they have all the correct details whilst building that all important relationship.
CIPS training included!
Your responsibilities include, however are not limited to:
Managing the tendering process so that it complies with all procurement regulations
Providing professional advice to all clients ensuring they have all required details within their contracts, tendors and framework agreements
Monitoring the compliance side
Ensuring the smooth running of the Procurement function
Chasing PO's
Being that first point of contact for all new clients and responding and actioning to any questions or queries they may have
Monitoring our clients spending on low value, high volume items, as well as high value contracts
Research and identify potential new areas of supply for new clients and contracts
Identify where improvements to Procurement processes can be madeThe successful candidate must have high attention to detail, passion and a willingness to learn as this is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to kick start your career within Procurement.
If you do have Procurement experience and looking to expand your skill set, previous experience working within the public sector would be a great advantage!
Title: Contracts Officer
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
Location: Culham, Oxford
Working Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week - Hybrid working, 2 days office, 3 days home!
