Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Prestwich) – Full Time

Forever Teaching is working with a supportive secondary school in Prestwich to find a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students' education, particularly those who are disengaged from learning.

Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing in-class support to students, especially those who have become disengaged from education. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting students both academically and emotionally as they re-engage with their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students who need additional help.

*

Assist in the delivery of lessons, ensuring students stay engaged and understand the material.

*

Help students build confidence and overcome barriers to learning.

*

Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere in the classroom.

*

Support the development of students’ social and emotional skills.

*

Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt support accordingly.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience working with secondary school students (preferred, but not essential).

*

Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help students succeed.

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

*

Experience or understanding of working with disengaged students is beneficial.

*

A proactive, positive attitude and a commitment to making a difference.
