On behalf of one of our automotive EV OEM clients, we are actively looking to recruit for an electrical engineering Technician Engineer. Our client is taking an innovative approach to its line of vehicles targeting value for money and sustainability which sets them apart from the crowd.

Position Overview:

As the EE Technician Engineer for Electrical and Electronics team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the development of Engineering activities including the prototype manufacture of items such as wiring harnesses as well as the maintenance of EE solutions for our new and existing vehicles.

Experience:

* Ideally a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical and electronics engineering, with a focus on automotive or electric vehicle systems.

* Proven experience of integrating EE systems and components into a variety of automotive platforms with a track record of successful project delivery.

* Direct experience of delivery of the EE content of an electric vehicle project highly desirable.

Skills:

* The Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Technician will be responsible for development, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the High/LOW Voltage Electrical and Electronic systems of our client’s vehicles

* This role requires a thorough practical understanding of automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, and electronic control units (ECUs). The technician will work with a range of prototype and production vehicles as well as supporting HiL and other Laboratory based testing.

* Evidence of “hands-on” workshop experience using a variety of EE Tools.

* It is expected that the candidate is familiar and ideally qualified to IMI Level 4 (HaV). Training will be provided as required

* Evidence of achieving results through effective self-motivation and prioritisation.

* Technical management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively
