Maintenance Operative – Green Energy

MC Technical Recruitment is currently recruiting a Maintenance biased Plant Operator to operate and maintain a Green Energy plant in the Yeovil area.

Our client operates a small-scale Green Energy Power Plant producing green electricity through agricultural waste. The ideal candidate will have the confidence to carry out first line maintenance of plant equipment.

Full training will be provided for the right individual but a foundation understanding of mechanics or plant maintenance will be beneficial.

As the Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for:

First line maintenance of plant equipment, performing PPM’s and reactive maintenance when necessary
Operating mobile plant equipment e.g. forklifts, telehandlers and loaders in a safe and efficient manner
Walk downs and plant checks
Operating and monitoring the process via control systems to ensure maximum output
Assisting with onsite projects and upgrades
To be considered for this role you should have:

A mechanical or electrical maintenance understanding or the willingness to learn
Mobile plant operations experience is beneficial but not essential
Ability to work weekends
A “can do” attitude and willingness to work a multifunctional role
What’s on offer?

A competitive salary up to £35,000
A 10 days on days 4 off working pattern 9am – 6pm (Can be flexible) with a hour 1 lunch
Ability to take on training and learn the maintenance and operations of a green energy power station
