We are looking for a number of NDT Process Operators for a 12 month contract based on our Washington site, on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the Role:

As a NDT process operator you will be responsible for:

Perform Special Process/Operational tasks consistent with the requirements of the team, statutory and company standards (e.g. Health, Safety, Environment, Quality Management System, Production System) including the manufacture and assembly of components and sub-assemblies.
Participate in process improvement activities and compliance methodologies in order to satisfy customer needs and cost reduction targets. This may include elements of factory set up and workstation design.
Follow production plans in order to meet customer requirements.
Participate in cost reduction/operational improvements in order to satisfy customer needs.
Contribute to achievement of cell performance targets.
Recognise and perform asset maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard.
Work with other team members to deliver team objectives and requirements, including knowledge sharing and training others.

What we require from the candidate:

Qualifications and Experience

Experience or approval in one or more of the following processes:
Etch and visual inspection.
Chemical Processing (etching, cleaning, paint stripping, etc).
Paint including surface preparation (grit blast, glass bead, etc).
A willingness to learn and adapt across a range of product types, processes, machines, and technologies.
Strong process management skills and ability to comply with operating procedures and apply lessons learned to improvement activities.
Experience of working in a team environment that requires effective relationship building and training of work colleagues.
Computer literate with good communication skills.

Working Pattern

The normal working hours for this position is 40 hours per week. The site works a 25/5 rotating shift pattern over three 12 hour shifts.
