Junior/Trainee Maintenance Technician

A fantasic opportunity is now available for a technicially minded person, with good practicial engineering or maintenance skills, to develop a career in Maintenance Engineering.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine and emergency repairs to mechanical equipment
Use the scheduled maintenance control system
Routine maintenance on plant service equipment - Vessels & cooling towers etc.
Observe the workplace and report/repair faulty equipment
Maintain stocks of engineering consumables
Carry out and/or assist in routine testing and inspection of engineering equipment and systems Qualifications & Experience

Mechanical engineering qualifications or the ability to demonstrate experience and competence in this area
A minimum of 1 year work experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
Some electrical engineering awareness ideal
Any previous welding or fabricating experience would be avantagious but full traing will be provided.
Full UK driving licence
Team player with good communications skills
Physically fit due to the hands-on nature of the roleFurther training will be provided in all aspects of the role, including TIG Welding etc
