IRO- Children’s Services | Offshore | £46/h + travel expenses & accommodation paid weekly 

We are looking for an Independent Reviewing Officer to join a children’s services team in an Ofsted rated Good council, in a rural Offshore location - just in time to catch some summer sun. 

As an IRO you will be assuring the quality of performance and service by reviewing and planning systems for the safeguarding of the children and young people of the isles; scrutinising and analysing the work of social workers on the islands looked after children’s service is part and parcel of the role – where needs be you will be challenging practice and consulting with them to make improvements.

Due to the supervisory responsibilities of the role you will be expected to be on the island from Monday-Friday, but the council does offer accommodation support of £250/week - as well as return ferries to and from the Island on a weekly basis!!

As this is a statutory role, you do require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.
