Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer required for a manufacture in Chesterfield. The successful Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of cutting-edge equipment used globally. This is an office-based role, the successful candidate needs to be within commuting distance to Chesterfield.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer will have proven experience within a similar role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced dynamic business.

The Package:

£30,000-£36,000 Dependent on Experience
Profit Sharing Bonus Structure

Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components and systems
Produce detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
Conduct stress analysis, material selection, and design calculations to optimise performance
Compiling Bills of Materials
Support the testing and validation of new and existing products
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations 

Requirements:

Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in Mechanical Design, ideally within the marine, oil & gas, or industrial equipment sectors
Proficient in SolidWorks
Proficiency in AutoCAD would be advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
