The role involves actively overseeing around 700 Council properties, which include general housing, Independent Retirement Living (IRL), temporary accommodations, and leasehold units. The person in this position will handle tenancy and estate matters within their assigned area. They will need to refer cases to the Anti-Social Behaviour Officer and the Tenant Support Officer for effective resolution. Close collaboration with the Area Housing Maintenance Surveyor and the caretaking team will also be essential for managing estate-related issues. A key emphasis will be placed on managing rent arrears and meeting performance targets in this area. Efforts to address arrears will be proactive, aiming to consider legal action only as a last resort.
