Roc Search is partnering with an award-winning manufacturer in Manchester. We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be working on a variety of innovative maintenance projects involving new technology, product lines, and starting up a new manufacturing line. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a company's growth and work on both established and R&D-focused projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and tooling systems.
Improve production line efficiency and uptime, contributing to ongoing development projects, including a new manufacturing line.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults across various equipment and machinery.
Collaborate closely with the production team to support continuous improvement projects.
Work on an exciting R&D project to develop and prototype an automated dispensing machine for pharmacies, designed to automate the dosette box process.
Assist with the testing, wiring, fault-finding, and fabrication needed to bring this R&D project from concept to production-ready.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.About the R&D Project: A significant portion of your time (approx. 60-70%) will be spent working on the development of a new prototype machine aimed at automating tablet dispensing into dosette boxes. This project presents significant commercial potential with the goal of reducing labor costs and error rates in over 11,000 dispensing pharmacies across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a start up from its inception and contribute to its rapid growth.

Requirements:

Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance engineering.
Experience with fabrication, tooling, fault-finding, testing, and wiring is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience working in R&D environments or on prototype development is desirable but not required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
