Head of Commercial Finance

Seeking a fully qualified accounting professional to deliver full-spectrum commercial finance support across various business channels, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Pricing, Reporting, and project management. The role will focus on driving and analysing commercial performance, particularly on Sales and Margin optimisation by managing a team of qualified FBP's. Experience with the C-suite of a large business is essential.

Key Responsibilities for the Head of Commercial Finance:

Oversee the forecasting, budgeting, and target-setting processes for business channels.
Act as the primary finance liaison for Sales & Margin performance throughout the organisation.
Collaborate with the CCO to implement channel strategies and enhance overall performance.
Develop profit models, conduct in-depth reporting, and offer insights with detailed analysis and commentary.
Identify opportunities for enhancing channel performance, such as profitability analysis and evaluating business models.
Partner with line commercial, reporting, and finance teams to ensure reporting is reliable, consistent, and follows a unified approach.
Enhance reporting by adding insights and analysis, including exception reporting, to improve management's understanding of performance.
Assess and support business cases and initiatives that promote sales growth and improve channel profitability.
Create scenario analyses for multiple potential business outcomes.
Provide additional analysis and support as required.

The Head of Commercial Finance will ideally have/be:

A minimum of 5 years of experience with relevant financial qualifications.
Proven expertise in stakeholder management and relationship building.
Strong ability to present data and insights to various audiences, including at the Executive level.
Highly analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suited to both internal and external environments.
Skilled at managing multiple tasks and balancing competing priorities.
Willingness to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
