On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Junior Hedge fund Credit Analyst for an initial 9-month contract with potential to go permanent based hybrid in London.

Purpose of role:

Covering the 1st line of defence or the front office, within Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC), the Institutional Credit Analysis Team (ICAT) is responsible for completing the credit analysis for financial institutions clients including due diligence when necessary.

In particular, the Team ensures that credit analysis and recommendations are provided in due time for Banks, Insurances, Sovereign, Brokers, other non-banks financial institutions, pensions funds, financial sponsors, hedge funds, regulated funds, funds of hedge funds, agency arrangements and asset managers.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a Junior Hedge fund Credit Analyst, you will:

Complete credit analysis on a portfolio of Financial Institutions to facilitate informed credit decisions (particularly Hedge Funds).
Develop an in-depth understanding of the groups under your responsibility and develop market intelligence by investigating all available sources of credit and financial information.
Permanently monitor the portfolio under your responsibility to detect any credit issue requiring a specific review.
Produce and present a factual summary of client's credit worthiness (credit proposal), compliant with the Bank's guidelines.
Conduct day-to-day transaction approvals, quantifying risk for trade requests received from Front Office across the bank.
Prepare initial credit questionnaire for ISDA/CSA and other legal documents.
Develop a good knowledge of the banking environment: capital market products, legal documentations, accounting and regulatory environments.
Contribute to the development of policies, reports, and risk tools, and to the Credit Process optimisation.What we require from the candidate:

Experience of working in a credit analyst or hedge fund role in investment banking.
Knowledge and understanding of banking and financial markets.
Strong and proven analytical skills.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Experience or knowledge of market risk.
Knowledge of legal documentations credit terms - ISDA, CSA, etc. (desirable)Next steps
