Job Title: Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant

Salary: £86 - £96 per day

Contract: Temporary, with opportunity to becoming permanent
GSL Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Hull. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a Primary school student with Autism, helping them thrive within a mainstream classroom environment. The position is is required to begin after the half term and is a temporary position until February. There's opportunity for the position to be extended or made permanent for the ideal applicant.
Role Overview:
As an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
Work closely with a Primary School aged student in KS2 with Autism, providing personalized 1:1 support.
Help the student engage in learning, develop social skills, and reach their full potential.
Implement strategies tailored to the specific needs of the student.
Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate Will:
Have prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally working with children with Autism.
Be familiar with the needs associated with Autism and strategies to support children with SEN.
Demonstrate a good understanding of child development and learning challenges.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
