Key Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer Role:

Identifying potential customers and making contact
Visiting and quoting customers
Developing business opportunities
Understanding technical plans, specifications, and schematics, and applying that knowledge to the Power Solutions team and customers
Creating and submitting sales and technical proposals to customers
Answering customer queries and providing technical support
Arranging follow-up meetings and calls to retain business and secure additional sales
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the Standby Power industry and relevant business and technical information
Ensuring all sales and personal sales targets are met
Representing the company with existing and new clients
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients
Demonstrating a good knowledge of business acumen and sales techniques
Presenting sales data to the Sales Director
Being a team player and contributing to the overall success of the company

Qualifications and Experience:

A degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant technical field, such as engineering
3 or more years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the Standby Power industry
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Confidence in communicating via telephone, face-to-face, and email
Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
A full, clean UK driving licence
