Welder – Devonport – Long term contracts

£22.07 to £24.25 per hour (IR35: Inside)

Duration: 6 Months initially. Potential for 3 years work.

40 Guaranteed hours a week, additional hours and shift may be a possibility but not guaranteed.

Essential Experience

* Knowledge and experience to read engineering drawings, interpret work instructions and be proficient in the use of general workshop tools & machinery specific to welding.

* Experience of – FCAW, MMA, MIG, TIG

* Experience in the marine engineering industry ideally with experience of ships and submarines or large commercial ships – relevant experience from other engineering sectors will be considered.

* Be able to undertake regular welding requalification to meet required standards

Qualifications for the Welder:

* Time served apprentice within the field of marine engineering / naval engineering environment

* Indentured Apprenticeship relevant to the role

* Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship

* Level 3 Engineering qualification relevant to the role
