Overview

We are seeking a skilled Design Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fire and security systems, as well as a strong background in design and surveying. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of projects involving fire alarms, CCTV, intruder systems, and access control. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate quotes and ensuring that our clients' requirements are met.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the sales and design teams to create accurate and competitive quotes for fire and security system projects
Conduct surveys to assess client requirements and ensure that proposed designs meet their needs
Utilize Opto software to produce detailed designs and estimates
Communicate effectively with clients to address any queries or concerns
Keep up to date with industry best practices and product knowledge to ensure high-quality designs and cost-effective solutions

Qualifications

Proven experience in fire and security system design and estimating
Proficiency with Opto software for system design and estimation
Strong knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder systems, and access control
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal teams
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Day-to-day

Reviewing project requirements and coordinating with the sales team
Conducting site surveys to gather necessary information for accurate quotes
Using Opto software to produce detailed design layouts and cost estimates
Communicating with clients to understand their needs and preferred solutions
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure that project requirements are met
